We STILL Need to Talk - lessons from The Commission on the Future of Oracy Education in England

Host:

Amanda Moorghen, Director of Learning Impact and Influence at Voice 21

Panel:

  • Sally Apps, The Oracy Education Commissioner

It’s been a momentous year for oracy. Polling has shown that now one in ten schools have an oracy lead. The Guardian threw its editorial weight behind its campaign for oracy education. The Curriculum and Assessment Review interim review was also published, and omitted any mention of oracy. This led to key figures from across the sector speaking out to ensure oracy’s inclusion in the final report.

They'll explore the findings of the Commission and how these can translate to the primary and secondary classroom in the lead up to the Government’s Curriculum and Assessment review.
